WHY
WATERJET
The process of waterjet cutting is actually pretty simple.
Water is pressurized to 60,000 PSI, and then forced through a small orifice
in the cutting head. Inside a mixing tube, abrasive is combined with the
high pressure water, creating an abrasive stream that exits the nozzle at
about 1.5 times the speed of sound.
Almost any material, including metal, glass, composites, gasket material,
Marble, stone etc., can be processed using waterjet technology, allowing
for a broad set of capabilities for users.
Waterjet is a clean process environmentally, with no heat or chemical fumes
to disburse.
Compared to any other cutting technology, waterjet provides the best in
flexibility and overall capability.
